Categories

Bachelor of Technology (Electrical Engineering)

The department offers a four-year Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programme, comprising eight semesters. It is one of the highest-rated undergraduate engineering programmes in the country, recognized globally for academic excellence.

The curriculum includes:

  • Core courses & department electives
  • Institute electives & seminars
  • Laboratory experiments & projects

Students enjoy significant flexibility to focus on Telecommunications, Microelectronics, VLSI, Power Electronics, Control Systems, and Embedded Systems. Research opportunities are available through the Undergraduate Research Award (URA) or the BTech project.

Bachelor’s With Honours

Students can increase their depth in Electrical Engineering by undertaking additional coursework. By completing 24 credits (approximately five courses) from a prescribed list, a student earns an Honours degree in Electrical Engineering.

Minor Programs

Undergraduate students from other disciplines can earn a Minor in Electrical Engineering by completing 30 credits (five courses) from the minor basket:

▹ EE114 – Power Engineering – I▹ EE229 – Signal Processing – I▹ EE238 – Power Engineering – II▹ EE204 – Analog Circuits▹ EE207 – Electronic Devices▹ EE224 – Digital Systems▹ EE302 – Control Engineering▹ EE309 – Microprocessors▹ EE325 – Probability & Random Processes▹ EE341 – Communication Systems – 1
